Morgan Hook has a proven track record of leading campaigns that blend media relations, advertising and digital strategy to influence policymakers, with deep experience in energy, environment and higher education.

Morgan understands what motivates elected officials, the stories reporters are looking for, and how to position policy issues in the public conversation, which is critical to navigating electoral and legislative campaigns. Prior to joining Bluejacket, he started and led the Albany office of SKDK for 13 years, and led the firm’s Energy & Clean Tech vertical. He was head of communications for the State University of New York (SUNY), serving as chief spokesperson for Chancellor Nancy Zimpher, and communications director for New York Governor David Paterson.

Morgan is an award-winning television journalist, with extensive experience as a news anchor and reporter. He was nominated for an Emmy by the Washington, D.C. chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his work as a documentary producer.

Morgan is a graduate of Boston University and currently lives in Saratoga County with his family.
