Gabriela Cristobal, a principal at Hilltop, is a seasoned political strategist and stakeholder engagement leader with experience spanning campaigns, Democratic party infrastructure, advocacy organizations, and the highest levels of federal government. Her work has focused on coalition-building, stakeholder engagement, intergovernmental affairs and advancing policy and electoral priorities through coordinated national and state-level efforts.

Most recently, she served in senior roles within the Office of the Vice President, including as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs after leading health and women and girls engagement for the Biden-Harris White House. In these roles, she led engagement with state and local leaders, advocacy organizations, and national coalitions, helping to strengthen partnerships between the federal government and external stakeholders. She also served on the Harris-Walz campaign and served on the Harris-Walz transition team.

Prior to the White House, Gabriela was Women’s Coalition Director at the Democratic National Committee, overseeing national engagement strategies and relationships with key constituencies during the 2022 midterm cycle.

In her home state of Wisconsin, she worked on the 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court race, at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and state and local campaigns and in the legislature.

She began her career in issue advocacy, managing national advocacy campaigns for both the United Nations Foundation and United State of Women, which came out of the Obama Administration’s White House Council on Women and Girls.

She is a proud Wisconsinite and Badger, who currently resides in New York City.
