Cyreena’s work in the public sector spans nearly fifteen years.She has strategized for electoral campaigns and ballot measures and conducted government relations in the areas of affordable housing, LGBTQ equity, higher education, public education, racial justice. She has worked for the Democratic National Committee, the Barack Obama Campaign for Change, U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, former Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber, and was the first Director of the Portland African American Leadership Forum.

Cyreena is the former Chief Executive Officer of Oregon Public Health Institute (OPHI), a non-profit dedicated to building healthy communities throughout Oregon.

Currently, Cyreena is a Board Member of Oregon’s largest Coordinated Care Organization, Health Share, a network of providers who coordinate physical, dental, and behavioral health care for Oregon’s Medicaid members. She is also a Trustee of the Northwest Health Foundation, and a board member of Trillium Family Services.
