Chris Griswold brings high-level experience in electoral politics, ballot measures, and coalition building to the Hilltop team. In 2018, Chris oversaw two successful statewide campaigns – for State Treasurer and Secretary of State.
Chris oversaw Jena Griswold’s campaign, managed a budget of over one million dollars, and successfully elected a first-time candidate as the first Democratic Secretary of State since 1958. He also guided Dave Young’s campaign for State Treasurer through a competitive primary and general election. In 2016, Chris oversaw the Denver Bond and Mill campaign which was one of the largest Bond and Mill measures to pass in Colorado history. And in 2015, Chris directed Happy Hayne’s successful campaign for Denver Public School Board.
Chris has also successfully organized and recruited state-wide coalitions of non-profits, chambers, and business leaders to pressure Congress to pass federal legislation, including a change to food labeling and chemical safety laws. Before coming to Hilltop, Chris worked as a Legislative Assistant for State Senator Matt Jones and as an organizer for President Obama’s re-election campaign.
Chris is from Estes Park and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.
