Emily Stover is a Principal in Hilltop’s Washington, DC office. She works with the Hilltop team on grassroots and grasstops issue advocacy campaigns. Emily also co-supervises Hilltop DC’s team of interns.

Prior to joining Hilltop, Emily worked in marketing at an international law firm in DC. She also served as a communications intern for Millennial Action Project, a bipartisan political organization, and as a legislative intern for Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL). Emily has fond memories of phone banking with her mother for President Obama’s campaign in Chicago, and volunteering at her local polling place even before she was old enough to vote.

Emily graduated in 2018 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (UW) with a B.A. in political science. During her time on campus she was a Mercile J. Lee scholar and a Three Sisters Challenge scholar. She also co-founded the first campus chapter of Millennial Action Project.

In her free time, you can find Emily jogging around DC and mentoring UW undergraduate students looking to start careers in the political sphere. She advises on networking, career development, the internship application process, and life in DC.
